About Us
Three decades of engineering trust, now built into every LIFT product.
From a small trading business in 1990 to a manufacturer engineering Singapore's leading mobility-assist equipment — this is the story of Nicae, and where we're headed next.
A Message From Our Founder
"Every product we build starts with one question: does this give someone back a little more independence than they had yesterday?"
When I started Nicae, we were a small trading company solving practical problems for Singapore's manufacturing industry. Over three decades, that same instinct for practical problem-solving led us somewhere far more meaningful — building the equipment that helps people move through their lives with dignity.
Today, mobility-assist is not a side business for us. It is the reason LIFT Mobility exists. We've watched families struggle to get a wheelchair up a flight of HDB stairs, watched caregivers strain to lift a loved one out of bed, and watched patients in recovery lose confidence simply because the right support wasn't available to them. Every LIFT product — from our exoskeletons to our stair climbers, ramps and lifters — was engineered to close that gap.
Our ambition is clear: to become the market leader in mobility-assist equipment, not by being the biggest, but by being the most trusted. That means engineering that never compromises on safety, support that never leaves a customer stranded, and products built with the same heritage strength that has carried Nicae for over 30 years.
We're just getting started. Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
Our Story
How Nicae became LIFT Mobility.
A trading company that grew into a manufacturer, and a manufacturer that grew into a mission.
Nicae Trading is established
Nicae Trading is founded, supplying parts and trading goods to Singapore's growing manufacturing industries.
Nicae Singapore Pte Ltd is incorporated
Business growth drives the need to expand, and Nicae Singapore Pte Ltd (NSPL) is established to take over the manufacturing side of the business — providing trading supplies and precision parts fabrication.
Entry into mobility-assist equipment
NSPL moves from fabrication into building its own products, entering the mobility-assist industry with wheelchair ramps and wheelchair lifters — the foundation of what would become the LIFT product line.
A new chapter: LIFT Mobility
Founder Robson Tan collaborates with fellow mobility-assist expert Edgar Danaraj to launch LIFT Mobility — combining decades of manufacturing heritage with new engineering expertise to build industry-leading products for years to come.
